The Kidling
My kid is funny. I know, I know. So is yours. But mine is funnier. And cuter. Sorry, but some things are inarguable.
In fact, I am fairly certain my child is perfect. The Kidling is funny, smart, beautiful, profound, strong, and kind. Not necessarily in that order. She can also be an enormous stinker, but whaddaya gonna do? She’s five, so it seems fair to ignore the occasional stinkeriness.
For the record, I have my own theories about the biological predisposition to prefer one’s kin (and parental delusions), but I will keep those to myself for the time being.
My goal is to share only the genuine gems that come out of her mouth. I will do my very best to keep the merely bright and shiny examples to myself. No promises.
This is absolutely, positively adorable. I am truly hooked. Thank you for a beautiful and endearing read as i notice a hint of familiarity in my own relationship with my daughter.
Well, aren’t you a dear?! Thank you! Glad Alice hooked you. She sure as heck has me hooked…
Cheers!
This reminds me of an old Jewish saying: “There is only one most beautiful child in the world, and every mother has it.” Your blog is AMAZING and I’ve only just found you! I am so excited to follow and read all through it. Blessings, Gina
Thank you thank you thank you, Gina! Aren’t you kind? And I could not possibly agree more with that saying.
Cheers!

I thought it was appropriate to write this here…as you are indeed writing the book of your kidling. FYI… I tagged you for The Next Big Thing. It’s not much to do; the interview part is a little fun to write/dream about…Engage the day!
Well, aren’t you dear? Thank you! I tend to be pretty lame about following through with blog awards, but it warms my heart that you like my wee blog enough to read regularly and share your ridiculously kind words with me. Cheers to you!

Too Funny. Smiling and laughing right now. I am so following you.
Your quirkiness intrigues me… I am looking forward to becoming a disciple. I mean follower…
