gift giving guru

Alice has all kinds of terrific (translation: terrible) gift giving ideas. I’m not sure from where in her little brain they come, but they are honest and silly. At the breakfast table yesterday morning, she told me:

“How about, for the next Valentine’s Day, we get for Dad… Ummm… A necklace. One of those things you wear around your neck.

“And at the bottom, it will have a heart. That opens. With a picture of Dad inside.

“And I want the part at the bottom with the picture of Dad inside to be yellow.

“Can we try to find one of those?”

Sure. It might be hard to find.

“Yeah, because I want the part on the bottom with the picture of Dad inside to be a bead! That opens up! Can we look for one of those?”

Sure.

“Yes!”

    • Yep. I often promise to “look for” whatever clever/bizarre ideas she has. I then tell her she has to remind me, or else I will forget. She never remembers, so I am off the hook.

      Cheers!
